Promotional drinks packaging case study
Asahi case study
The Brief
To produce a luxurious interactive packaging design for a promotional campaign. The packaging had to be sustainable, eye-catching and playful.
The Solution
Our final design was a tuck-end carton with one open end that could be slid off the cross-bottom base. The sides of the base were designed to drop, dramatically revealing the lager can within, as well as the printed promotional messaging and QR code.
The sampling process was key in the success of this design as the material had to be thoroughly tested with the product to get an optimal level of resistance to both secure the product and allow the packaging to ‘reveal’ its contents in a smooth gliding motion.
We printed straight on to a silver metallic board and finished with an overall gloss coating, to create a light-catching effect to really draw the attention of customers and give the packaging a luxury look and feel. The material and finish used really brought the rain and water imagery on the packaging artwork to life.
